Synopsis
In an alternate universe, during World War II, American aviator-hero and xenophobic populist Charles Lindbergh defeats Franklin D Roosevelt in the 1940 US presidential election and plans to impose a fascist regimen in the US. The story is told through the eyes of a working-class Jewish family in New York as antisemitism becomes acceptable and they endure the US turning fascist.

Philip Roth’s prize winning novel is adapted here for HBO by creator of ‘The Wire’ and award-winning writer, author and journalist David Simon.
